Why did we dine here? – Quaint French Bistro with very good food. Chez Mama is a French Bistro with 2 locations in San Francisco, Potrero Hill and Hayes Valley. We have dined at both restaurants. The downside of this restaurant is the wait. They do not take reservations, so put your name down and chill. “Chez Maman is a neighborhood restaurant with a bistro concept. We attribute our success to the friendly and casual atmosphere as well as our delicious home cooked meals. ” Insider Tip – There is a wait during peak times, come early Cuisine – French Location – Potrero Hill and Hayes Valley Opened – 2002 Poetreo Hill Service – Chez Maman’s service was solid with a knowledgeable server and lots of circulating. The restaurant is not very big. Pacing and refills were fine. Verdict – Chez Maman is one of those moderately priced classic French Bistros that many foodies have on their rotating casual spot list.
