
Celebrity Cuisine is a One Michelin star Cantonese Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong. It has ping ponged between one and two stars for years. Michelin 1 Starred Restaurant (2010, 2017-20), Michelin 2 Starred Restaurant (2011-2016) We were looking an easy same day online lunch reservation after a disappointing meal at Maxim’s Palace. This spot fit the bill, Perfectly. It is located in Central, across the street from the old school Lin Heung tea house. Be sure to ask them for the Dim Sum menu at lunch. It is not very extensive and features only classic dishes. No purple colored pandas rice rolls here. The normal menu is very expensive. The place had 6 tables with only 3 occupied, so we received a lot of attention. Fast plate changes, cleanups, refills. Celebrity is a private kitchen! Food was top notch and not super expensive, making us wonder why more people don’t eat here. As a point of comparison marginal Maxim’s Palace was full. The cost of dishes was HK$50 vs HK$66, not a big premium. Food Picks: Fried Turnip cake (HK$66 = USD$8.50) hit the mark. Good flavor and cooked just right.
